CPD Requirements

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is an annual training requirement for all real estate professionals holding a NSW certificate or licence. CPD must be completed in the 12 months following
the granting or renewal of a licence or certificate.

Real Coach is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and we deliver our CPD training programs in Learning Category 3. These are conducted in 4 hours and offer 12 points of CPD.

CPD Summary/Changes

  • All certificate & licence holders must complete 12 points annually, regardless of the licence category held.
  • You must keep your CPD records including certificates for 3 renewal periods for auditing purposes.
  • A previous requirement for additional 3 points for other licenses held has been abolished. E.g. business agent, stock & station agent.
  • The current CPD course program is more flexible with practical topics offering a better approach to real estate training.
  • The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) in NSW is responsible for the administration and monitoring of CPD. To download the complete Commissioners Guidelines
please see the right of this page.
  • There is no longer a requirement for courses
to be completed in a specific order; therefore all certificate and licence holders are now up to the same level.
